The Corryvrechan Scottish Dance Display Team were awarded first place in the RSCDS Newcastle Scottish Dance Festival on 23 Feb 2008 for their innovative display. Dances are David Slaters’ Highland Reel, The Muckle Wheel and Wayward Roots.

Mass Demonstration
Scottish country dance demonstration at the 1993 Scottish International Tattoo held at Toronto’s Skydome. It was an effort to better a world record set two years before. It was danced by 960 Toronto Scottish country dancers and friends – a medley of Corn Rigs, Sandy o’er the Lea and half an Eightsome Reel

Bow Fiddle Medley – Bow Fiddle Rock is a sea stack in Portknockie, Scotland. A dance devised by Margaret Zadworney, music composed and played by Muriel Johnstone, danced by Braemar Dancers of Winnipeg

Trip to Lorient – Dance created by Ian Brockbank especially to celebrate ‘Scottish Year’  at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. Followed by a threesome.

Selection of Reels – Performed at the Scottish Pavilion – Lorient Festival Interceltique 2007. Each couple danced a different reel twice through. The reels are Montgomeries’ Rant, Duke of Perth, General Stuart’s Reel and De’il Amang the Tailors.

  • The Music and The Dance – a Strathspey written by Ann Campbell, in honour of the wedding of Lisa Mitchell and Bobby Brown. From the Trinity Scottish Country Dance Group of Toronto. This dance was included in the program for the Spring Fling 2008, with both Bobby (The Music) and Lisa (The Dance) in attendance.
