You don’t have to be Scottish or have a partner to enjoy Scottish Country dancing. It’s social dancing with amazing music, great people, and wonderful exercise. There are weekly classes, dances, and workshops throughout the year. Beginners dance from 7pm-8:45 pm, and Intermediate/Advanced dancers from 7:30pm-9:30pm. Ladies wear skirts or dresses. Men and women wear soft soled shoes (i.e. ballet/jazz shoes or gillies or other types of light weight soft soled shoes.
Beginners are welcome to come and try our Scottish Country dancing for two weeks before signing up for the year. We look forward to welcoming you.
Teacher Fran Hillier will take you through lively reels & jigs and stately strathspeys.

Glenayre celebrated their 50th anniversary at their April 2014 Spring Dance. The club hosts a Christmas party in December and a Spring Dance in April.
