Heather Spring Tea Dance – Sat Apr 26
Saturday, April 26, 2025 1:00pm-4:30pm
Scottish Cultural Centre, 8886 Hudson Street, Vancouver
This year, instead of our annual Ball, we are offering an afternoon of dancing. While lighter than a ‘Ball’, it will contain important elements of a Ball to offer an opportunity for our newer dancers to experience a Grand March and get dressed up (afternoon tea style). We will serve a catered Afternoon Tea, and there will be lots of dancing for everyone. Seating will not be pre-arranged, but do let us know of any Dietary restrictions.
PARKING: beware of the parking restrictions near the Centre on Saturdays. A few blocks away is unrestricted, or use the St. Anthony of Padua Church parking lot at the rear of church off 73rd Avenue, just past Montcalm street.
RSCDS members $60 Non-members $70 TICKET SALES have now ended.
Tickets may be bought online (scroll down) or email (Right-click here and Copy email address) to arrange payment by Cash or Cheque.
We have invited two exciting young experienced musicians from Washington State, who will bring a youthful energy to our event.
Guinevere Saenger is a classically trained piano accompanist who has found her passion in playing music for dancing. She’s a Scottish Country dancer herself and has played for SCD classes, events and workshops throughout the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere, including last year’s Fort Worden Workshop Weekend.
Vienna Scheyer is a fiddler and piper from Seattle with musical roots in Scottish music. She regularly plays for Scottish country and contra dances, as well as with the group Keltoi and with Cascadia pipe band. She teaches fiddle and pipes.
Please get ready to Put a Spring in your Step!
