The Mary Isdale MacNab Archive Dance Collection
A link has been placed on the Branch website to a new resource on the dances of Mary Isdale MacNab. She was one of the most significant figures of twentieth-century Scottish dance, and her adult life was spent in Vancouver. Her two demonstration groups, the BC Highland Lassies and the Braemar Dancers (of whom our own Isobel Hyde was one) performed dances which Mrs MacNab had collected and choreographed. These dances, many previously published and others not, have now been brought together with accompanying videos by Stephen Webb of the London Branch. This wonderful archive has now been made available to dancers everywhere.
