Step Dance Classes on Zoom

A Scottish Step Dance opportunity

November 29, 2020, will see the first in a series of monthly Zoom step dance classes.  Each class will be presented at 11:30 AM Pacific time for approximately 1 ½ hours.

To get us started, Elizabeth Miller, author of “Miller’s Fancy”, is the scheduled teacher in November and will present a dance called “Toddle Away” written to a hornpipe tune!

The fee for each class is $10 US and payable by PayPal in advance; participants will then receive the link for the class.  Users do not need a PayPal account.  The fees go into our registered nonprofit account established in 2012 to support step dance projects including research/publication/recording.  PayPal charges no administrative fees on either end if you indicate that the fee is for a “friend” rather than a “business”.  Non-profit organizations are considered friends!

Participants receive a package which includes

  • 1 ½ hour class time (approximately) – full dance taught
  • Video of the class
  • Notes for the dance

One of the beauties of this arrangement is that if you are in a time zone unfriendly to the time of the course, you can still receive the video and notes by registering for the class!

December 20, 2020, will be the next class with Ron Wallace teaching his dance, “Leaving Port Askaig” and January 31, 2021, Deb Lees will teach!  Look for other exciting classes to follow!
